Un’altro dei miei grandi amori, l’ho fatto 19 anni fa il giorno del mio compleanno (il 13 febbraio… che è anche il compleanno di mia madre!!! Ci credete!! Nonna, madre e figlio nati lo stesso giorno! …. io ancora dopo anni non ci posso credere !) Presto ci sarà anche una foto di lui, Alex.

Io, mia madre e mio figlio Alex siamo nati TUTTI E TRE il 13 febbraio a distanza di 30 anni!!!

Incredibile!

Mio figlio grande, Alex, è stato la mia fonte d’ispirazione. 

Negli anni ho fatto tanti angeli su richiesta per diverse occasioni … battesimi, prime comunioni, cresime e come regali particolarmente a Natale.

(Io ne ho appeso uno dallo specchietto della macchina come angelo custode e quando entro in garage o in galleria lui mi ricorda della sua presenza con le sue ali che si illuminano come per dire…<Eccomi, sono qui>.

Sono tutti diversi (perchè non uso stampi) e sembrano avere la loro propria personalità. Quello fotografato è alto 5cm circa ma possono essere più grandi o più piccoli, bianchi, rosa, azzurri, gialli, con l’aureola … come vuoi tu … basta chiedere!

Sabrina, who’s a long-time customer of mine will be graduating from university at the end of the month.

As a gift for family and friends and people who have helped her along the way, she will be pinning these to sugar-almond-filled maroon-coloured organza draw-string bags…(Phew! That was a mouthful)!

They’re quite bright and funky!

On the far right of the picture are a few experiments I rather like the look of..I haven’t decided how i’ll be using them but for now they’re sitting happily on my desk as eye-candy.

Two of them are extruded cane numbers and the red and yellow swirly one at the bottom was made using a mica shift method where you shave away the raised pattern left after stamping. No mica shift happened here because there’s no mica in the clay i used….funny about that  :O)  

I speak English and Italian fluently and get by with Dutch and a little French but if computer literacy is like learning a new language….I’ll be-buttered-on-both-sides if I can learn this one! 

I’ll plod along…I’ll get there ….sooner or later!
